The 88th Monsal Hill Climb took place yesterday, in dry conditions. And what an exciting one it was too, with Calum Brown missing taking the record held by Malcolm Elliott since 1981 by only 4 tenths of a second!
And our own Ryan Williams put in an excellent performance, too. At only 13 years of age, and competing in the schoolboy category (under 16s), he came 6th in a time of 02:08.1.
Ryan’s potential has come to the notice of none other than Sir Dave Brailsford, who took time out of his very busy schedule to come and watch him perform at Britain’s premier hill climb.
Good luck with a podium position next year Ryan!
